Shootz Cafe & Billiards :: (412) 488-3820

   Whether you're Minnesota Fats or just Joe Pool Player, this place is the bar for billiards.As you walk in the door the bar meets you on the left-hand side and runs 30 to 40 feet. With 10 beers on tap, you won't go thirsty. Comfortable couches and plush chairs adorn the rooms, as well as a cozy fireplace for the winter weather.Straight ahead is a large stage with a retro mural behind it.A modern mademoiselle haute couture lamp highlights the dining area to your right. But the most striking features are the 15 pool tables that are constantly in use. Casual dining ? lunch! shootz has it all; and their food is amazing ,and the portions out of this world!

   A diverse crowd of pool aficionados, business types and college kids mingle in the bar area and rack 'em up at the tables. But this is definitely a more upscale establishment.

   Looking for the casual pool game? Try an early-mid week visit in the late afternoon/early evening, tables tend to fill up quickly, and there are some diehards who tend to grab the tables for hours on end. For a more social (and crowded) scene, come on a Saturday night,where radio personality Grimm in the afteroon has made Shootz his home  to D.J. on Saturday nights.

   Billiards fans will think they have died and gone to heaven. The main attraction is the pool tables, all in  perfect condition.Seven televisions,including two 9 ft projection screen tv's, are set up strategically throughout the sprawling pub for your viewing pleasure. Local sports or network shows are usually on the tubes.
